When Things Don’t Go As Planned: Struggling with God

Fifth Time A Charm!

Today’s post is from my dear sisterfriend and “Twin”, Ashley Burton. She has such a bright & welcoming personality & has walked with me through some of the toughest stuff ever. Ashley is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University.

I never thought that I would manage to have more questions about God as an adult than I did as a child.  I’ve tried not to shrink back from the questions because I’ve learned that doesn’t make them go away.  I even went to seminary for two years only to still have those same fundamental questions floating around in my head.

As a young adult, I’ve felt often that my Christian faith has produced a very uncomfortable dichotomy between what I know and what I actually understand.  God wants to prosper us and wants to give us hope and a future; yet, God’s priority…
